Day 59 Monday 8th April 2013; Location Brou Lake, NSW

Today was a day to relax and enjoy this wonderfully peaceful place. Beautiful.

After a very relaxing start to the day we decided it was time to make the Thermal Blanket for the camper, this took a couple of hours but it is on the roof and I will let you know how much of a difference it makes. Looks good.

Last night we had lots of visitors just before sunset, lots of wallabies came around the campsite, and later in the night we had a visit from a ring tail possum, he was fat so obviously he does well from campers.

After the thermal blanket was finished I mucked around and did up some shades for the back of the car, but need some of those lick and stick suckers for the windows to keep them on.

I then cooked Karens Chicken Adarbo for dinner whilst James took Rena for a walk down to the ocean.

Tonight, it was update blog and relax.

For those with stats in mind we have been away for 59 nights now and have travelled 4530 klms.

As we have had fun tonight with the telstra stick I will upload photos next time.

Day 55 - Day 58 Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th April 2013; Location Ulladulla

We spent the 4 days catching up with my best friend Karen and getting to met her beautiful family.

James and I left the camper and cruiser at Karens and walked our way around Ulladulla. This was the most practical thing to do, as Karen was pretty central and it was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Day 1 we went up to the top of the top and back again looking for an audio video cable for James and after lunch I walked up to the top of the town to have some me time at the hair dressers, boy it feels good when you have your hair done. Can walk around in public now and not be self conscious.

Day 2 we went for a walk downtown and at the boat harbour James headed for the light house and I headed for the break wall. James had success with his geocaching and I took Rena to the park then back to get an ice cream whilst I checked out the visitor information centre.

So many things to do, we could take a couple of years to go around Australia if we did everything that was on offer.

After James returned we headed off to the headland and did the All for One walk. Very interesting, worth the walk even if it is just to look at the scenery and the wood carvings.

Day 3 was catch up day with Karens mum and Karen. Did the laundry, I wish this would go on holidays but it keeps pileing up so it has to be done.

Day 4 saw us get up early YAY!!! daylight savings is over YAY!!!!! Now we can get up at Normal time and not appear to be sleeping in. :) :)

I walked up to Coles and bought some bread for breakfast and headed back to Karens, after breakfast was time to repack the camper and car and head south.

We went via the coastal road, and boy is it pretty. Batemans Bay was upon us in no time, so we stoped and restocked the pantry, and then headed to a park for some lunch, we stoped next to the boat club and had a quick bite and Rena got to play.

We then headed to the headland, WOW WOW WOW what spectacular site. James did another geocache and was successful again.

Back in the car, decided where we were going to stay for the night, and headed to Brou Lake.

We took the coastal road again and followed the coast down to Moruya. We then rejoined the Pacific Highway, it really is worth taking the side roads, you just never know what you might see.

We arrive at Brou Lake and we were pleasantly surprised, for a free campground it is really nice. There is only a limited number of campspots (which suits us fine) and is located between the lake and the ocean.

After setting up camp Rena and I went for a walk and explored the lake and then headed towards the noise of the ocean. We got to the top of the cliff and decided to head back to camp. Not long after that we did a bit more exploring and found the track down to the beach.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Montugue Island in the distance, beautiful blue skies (well the sun was almost setting but was still spectacular).

Time to head back to camp to cook dinner, what can I say but Beautiful

Day 54 Wednesday 3rd April; Location Bendella Reserve Kangaroo Valley

Up early, breakfast and packed up then waited for the canvas to dry off.

(p.s. We did do some more Wombat spotting after Rena went to bed last night, boy they are cute creatures :) and Fiona, they didnt try to eat us :) :P )

Destination today is to Ulladulla to see my best friend Karen, whom I havent seen for 25 years or so :( How time flies.

We drove down from Kangaroo Valley to Nowra via the Nowra Road, James got to practice those tight corners again whilst avoiding trucks coming the other way.

Once in Nowra we called in to Home Hardware to see if we could get our Air-Cell insulation so that we could make our Thermal Blanket for the camper, and Bingo!! we were in luck. Air-Cell purchased, and tied on to the top of the camper and we hit the road again.

We stopped at Mollymook at the beach and had chips whilst watching the waves coming in, boy was it windy, overcast and cold, but still pretty.

We arrived at Karens and it was as if it was just yesterday since we have seen each other, so I will be spending the next couple of days catching up with Karen and exploring Ulladulla.
