Well the wind picked up last night, and between it and my toothache (which came back with a vengeance) and my right knee which I have done something to the crucial ligament I didn't get very much sleep last night.
I got up at 6am and went down to the beach to have a look around, what a difference 12 hours makes, yesterday it was so clear and pretty, this morning, it is overcast and blowing a gale and the sea is grey.
Thankfully our campsite is somewhat protected, still not fully out of the wind but we are not being hit with the worst of the wind.
We packed up camp and headed for Esperance, we wanted to know if we could go out to Cape Arid National Park, with all this rain we didnt know if the roads would be open. So we called in to the info centre but they didnt have an up to date report so sent us off to DEC to ask them.
We went and parked the cruiser and camper (Esperance is not an RV friendly town when it comes to parking) and walked back to the DEC office, unfortunately for us it was closed. The notice on the board outside said that most of the roads were closed. So that put that one out. We would miss out of Cape Arid and would have to go via Norseman.
We went back to the car and I made lunch, flies again, so ate in between squatting flies. After refueling the bodies it was time to go and refuel the car. So off to the service station and topped up the cruiser.
We then headed back out of to the highway and headed for Norseman. We got as far as Kumarl Siding and decided to stay here for the night.
Not a bad spot for a roadside, was close to the road and a railway line on the other side of the road, but all in all the noise wasn't too bad, was more noise from a fellow traveler and his generator than the road.
