Well we have been spending a couple of days with my little sister Fiona, catching up and James helping around her camp.
My dad was given an old toyota landcruiser by my niece and James had a look at it and got it running again, we then rang my dad to let him know that it was running and what he needed to buy to get it registered etc.
Well stone the crows, that afternoon my dad rings back and says we will be there tomorrow.
The next day sure enough Mum and Dad arrive with their cat and my cat Sam (good to see the sooty cat again) and James and dad start working on his cruiser.
On the Saturday morning we headed off to the local markets, scored 2 bargains for Fiona, two bessermer pots for $12. Scored well, can now cook at her place and the spuds come up real nice. :)
When they went and tried to get it registered and bugger two little things they pull it up on, so James went back to Fionas camp trying to fix it to get it passed, and I am sitting in town at one of Fionas friends house using her washing maching and power for the laptop, (thanks Deb) stupid stick is working during the day but wont work at night, but still wont let me upload photos.
Our last day in town saw us doing the tourist thing, down to the Australia Opal Centre to have a little bow peep, then off to John Murray to see if he has any new art works, now got to save us $350 for my next piece of his art work, we then went out to look at the castle, but it was shut so just looked around the outside. We then went down to the visitor centre and did some specking and let Rena play in the playground, she made an instant friend Amelia who is also 4 and travelling around australia with her mum and dad and grandparents. They are from WA.
Rena could have played all day if we had of let her, but back to Fionas for lunch and a bit of a relax.
After we had packed up the camper, dad and James checked the lights and after 20 mins and 2 cold cuppas they found that we had a bad earth and all fixed ready to hit the road again with working brake lights on the trailer.
Back to Dubbo, then on to Wellington Caves, Jenolan Caves and then to the Shoalhaven after Gerringong. Be good to get to the coast again and cooler weather.
p.s. after arriving in Dubbo and setting up camp at the reserve again, we decided that we were going to do a side track out to the geological centre of NSW tomorrow. We are this close, worth taking the side trip.
Which piece of art is it we bought two limited editions when we were there and had them shipped home. I so love his work!
