Day 43 Saturday 23rd March 2013, Location: Macquarie Woods (Vittoria State Forest) Near Bathurst

Set the alarm for 7am, it went off, I turned over turned it off and thought hmmm to early to get up I am on holidays and preceeded to go back to sleep for another hour. We might make it to the farmers market (although James wasnt really interested)

After a leisurely breakfast we packed up the camper and headed for Bathurst, but first we looked up on the net for a laundromat in Bathurst, as you guessed it washing day. In to town and visited the Information Bay (which had the information map taken down so no info available) topped up the water tank and jerries). Then off to explore Bathurst.

After driving around for nearly an hour trying to find a laundromat, we gave up and headed out to Mount Panorama (James had a slight smile on his face at this stage) and James did a hot lap (sticking to the speed limit of course) with the camper trailer in tow, I took lots of photos of the lap, so will add some of them. James was as happy as a pig in mud. Would hate to see him do it in a Skyline, think some speed limits would be broken.

It is totally different in person than watching it on tv, would love to go around here myself in a Nissan Skyline GTR :) when there were no speed limit :) Gosh I would be in heaven, buggar James doing the hot lap. (Rev Head Me NEVER :) :) )

Well we then went in to the National Motor Racing Museum and James took one photo and the camera went flat. Bugger!!!! Leaston there is a whole section devoted to Motor Cycles, eat your heart out mate :) :) hehe even have Wayne Gardeners winning motor cycle and leathers on display. Not to mention a lot more.

Well after about 1 1/2 hours and miss 4 yr old complaining we decided that maybe we should head off.

We headed for the Australian Fossils & Mineral Museum, which if you are in Bathurst and you have kids or your are interested in fossils & minerals it is BRILLIANT!!!! My mum would be in heaven, it is hard to believe that it is just one mans collection. The replica of the T-Rex skeletan was great. Rena loved it.

We then headed for a laundromat that the kind ladies at the museum told us about, and no they are no in the yellow pages, well I wont advertise the laundromat on here as there machines were useless and one machine the clothes came out dirtier than when they went in.

So as James was taking Rena back to the car the long way to avoid going past a church pre school playground (she is mad about playgrounds and wants to play in everyone we pass) I headed for coles to buy some lunch and supplies and then headed to the car (up the hill mind you carrying heavy groceries)

In the car and we decided to not head for Jenolan Caves as we were told that we probably wouldnt get our camper down the steep and windy road, and headed for Flat Rock campground as I now needed to dry all the clothes I had just washed. We used 1 dryer but about 1 1/2 hours the clothes were still not dry so gave up.

What a nice little drive it was to Flat Rock Reserve. A really nice spot to camp, not that many flat spots, but for a free camp, had a reasonably new toilet and a bbq and was right be the river.

We set up camp for an overnight visit and had a reasonably early night.
